What to expect?
Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Colombo, followed by a comfortable drive to the coastal town of Mirissa. Upon arrival, board a well-equipped boat and set out into the warm waters of the Indian Ocean at around 6:30 AM, when marine life is most active.
The waters near Mirissa are internationally recognized for excellent whale sightings, especially during the peak season from November to April. During the excursion, you may spot magnificent blue whales, along with sperm whales, dolphins, and other fascinating marine species. The experienced crew follows responsible wildlife guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful viewing experience.
After the boat returns to shore around midday, enjoy a relaxing lunch at a recommended local restaurant before traveling back to Colombo.
